Description: Maritiman has 20 unique vessels, boats and barges that are all moored at Packhuskajen in central Göteborg. Enlisting with our armada will help to recall a vanished era of Göteborg’s shipyard and maritime history. We also want to convey the importance of preserving our maritime cultural inheritance for future generations.
History is ever present at Maritiman, but a contemporary and innovative spirit is just as noticeable. Activate your senses and sign on with us; interdisciplinary events and interactive attractions combine with the chance of climbing the rigging, feeling cold metal against your hands and breathing in the smell of tar. A thrilling experience that is suitable for the whole family.
Go beneath the surface of the Göta River and discover the submarine Nordkaparen. Gain insights into Swedish navigational history on the Fladen lightship. Virtually experience the golden age of the monitor Sölve or discover the destroyer Småland’s secret cryptograph room. The adventure never ends at Maritiman.
