Description:
At the Heart of Tanum’s 3000-year-old World Heritage Area
As early as during the Bronze Age, creative artists worked the smooth rocks of Tanum. Today, we can marvel at over ten thousand images they made. Among these are the famous Bride and Groom. The rock carvings are a unique cultural treasure, which is listed among the UNESCO world list of heritages to be safely handed on to future generations. Vitlycke museum is the information centre for the entire world heritage area. We offer exhibitions, stills, a full-scale Bronze Age farm, a world heritage pre-school and many other interesting things. Our combined café and restaurant, the Skålgropen will cater for all sorts of arrangements, from a quiet cup of coffee to full-scale parties. Our Rock Art Shop specializes in exclusively designed bronze jewellery.
