Deep down, don’t you feel like a scientist? Visit Kulturlagret with its amazing archive, item collections and library in Vänersborg. At Kulturlagret you can browse over 3500 m2 of different collections, our photo archive holding over a million pictures, and over 80 separate archives.

We offer advice on different aspects of preservation and care for antiquities and other items. Our library holds over 45 000 volumes on archaeology, ethnology, history and topography, as well as newspaper archives with local press from 1848 onwards. You are welcome to our guided tours, our association evenings, our reading room and theme exhibitions, our bookshop and our café. Open by appointment.
